Gymnastics Canada Gymnastique (GCG) works closely with its twelve provincial and territorial federation members and over 700 affiliated clubs to provide a broad range of programs and services to meet the needs of our over 325,000 participants. From athlete development to coach and judge education, GCG sets the operating standards and practices for the sport in Canada. Our mandate is to promote and provide positive and diverse gymnastics experiences through the delivery of quality and safe gymnastics programming.
Located in Ottawa and reporting to the Board of Directors, GCG is seeking an outstanding Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide leadership and assume overall responsibility for the operation and administration of GCG’s business including human and financial resources. In addition, the CEO is responsible for strategy development, planning, relationship management, revenue generation, and safe sport strategies.
This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional senior leader who possesses a post secondary degree in a related field (e.g., Sport Management, Business Administration). Masters level is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. In addition, the ideal candidate will bring a minimum of ten years of professional experience, including at least 5 years of senior management experience with a results-driven focus. As a strategic thinker, dedicated professional, and self-starter, the successful candidate will have demonstrated success working in a fast-paced and multi-tasked environment that emphasizes time lines and delivery. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellent leadership skills that include: clear and effective communications, as well as the promotion and fostering of a team culture consistent with GCG’s values.
