Calgary Gymnastics Centre of 179 Canada Olympic Road, SW, Calgary, AB, T3B 6B7, is currently looking for a permanent, full-time, dedicated and hardworking Competitive Gymnastics Coach for their Calgary location.
If you are an organized, reliable, energetic and passionate Coach for Artistic Gymnastics, then we would be interested in hearing from you.
As a Coach, you will be responsible for planning, developing and implementing training plans and practice sessions for the competitive program gymnasts. Your eye for detail will allow you to identify each athlete’s strengths and weakness and motivate them to reach their highest abilities within the team to prepare them for competitive events or games. You may also need to participate in coaching clinics instruction where you will present materials at a conference or symposium.
You will develop, plan and co-ordinate competitive schedules and programs. Your strong communication skills will be utilized with parents, other coaches and the athletes. We strive for a positive and focused training environment.
We are looking for someone with a college/CEGEP education or technical training certificates along with a National Coaching Certificate Level 3 or equivalent in coaching, with a strong technical knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures within Women’s Competitive Gymnastics.
During the tenure of his/her employment, a Criminal Record/Child Intervention Record Check and a Standard first-aid certification will be required.
A minimum of 3 years, but less than 5 years of previous work experience as a Coach is required. Good knowledge of the English language is required, together with basic administrative skills (daily e-mail communications, program planning/delivery, etc.)
Salary offered for this position is $26.94/hour. This 5 day & 40 hours per week position will consist of mornings, afternoons, evening and weekends.
Your position will require a great deal of hand-eye co-ordination and a combination of sitting, standing and walking. You must be willing to travel regularly and be able to travel overnight, cross-border, and internationally. There is public transportation available to the sports centre and we have a non-smoking environment.
