Catching up with Kyle Shewfelt
Posted Tuesday, June 15, 2010
Kyle Shewfelt is one busy Olympic champion. Although he officially retired from gymnastics a year ago, Shewfelt, who won men's floor exercise at the 2004 Olympic Games, remains deeply committed to the sport.
In addition to his role as commentator on the webcast at the recent Canadian Championships, handing out awards and exchanging lots of high-fives with fans, Canada's best-ever artistic gymnnast launched the Kyle Shewfelt Invitational Festival of Gymnastics which will replace the Jurassic Classic next year.
