Sophiane Méthot competes in both individual and synchronised trampoline finals in 51st Nissen Cup in Arosa, Switzerland

Seven members of the Canadian National Team in Trampoline Gymnastics travelled to Arosa, Switzerland on July 1st and 2nd, 2022 to compete in the 51st Nissen Cup, a FIG World Cup event. Members of the team competed in individual and synchronised trampoline events for both men and women. This is the third World Cup event for Team Canada in Trampoline Gymnastics for 2022.

The men’s team included Rémi Aubin (École les Dynamix, QC), Jérémy Chartier (Virtuose Centre Acrobatique, QC), and Trevor Stirling (Skyriders Trampoline, ON). The women’s team included Sophiane Méthot (Virtuose Centre Acrobatique, QC), Sarah Milette (Virtuose Centre Acrobatique, QC), Samantha Smith (Shasta Trampoline, BC), and Rachel Tam (Skyriders Trampoline, ON).

In the women’s finals, Sophiane Méthot (Virtuose Centre Acrobatique, QC) finished in 6th place in the individual trampoline event with a total score of 54.315, while finishing in 7th place alongside Sarah Milette (Virtuose Centre Acrobatique, QC) in the synchronised trampoline event.

In the men’s finals, Jérémy Chartier and Rémi Aubin finished in 6th place during the synchronised trampoline event with a total score of 49.920.
