OTTAWA, ON (May 6, 2025)<\/strong> \u2013 Canada\u2019s rhythmic artistic gymnastics team delivered fantastic performances at the 32nd<\/sup> Portim\u00e3o International Tournament held on May 2nd<\/sup> \u2013 4th<\/sup> at Portim\u00e3o Arena in Portugal. <\/p>\n\n

Junior RGG and Junior RGI Teams<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

L\u2019\u00e9quipe canadienne junior f\u00e9minine de gymnastique rythmique par \u00e9quipe a livr\u00e9 une performance impressionnante lors des qualifications du concours multiple junior en RGG, terminant au 4e rang. Elles sont revenues avec d\u00e9termination pour les finales junior en cerceaux et massues, o\u00f9 elles ont remport\u00e9 la m\u00e9daille d\u2019or dans les deux \u00e9preuves. Cette talentueuse \u00e9quipe \u00e9tait compos\u00e9e de Eliza Bendeliiani, Gillian Lu, Iana Ivanova, Lillian Yevzlin et Cynthia Leng. <\/p>\n\n

Le Canada \u00e9tait repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 par deux \u00e9quipes de GRI au concours multiple. L\u2019\u00e9quipe Canada 2, compos\u00e9e de Taisia Costeva et Berna Ablikim, a termin\u00e9 en 7e position. Juste derri\u00e8re, l\u2019\u00e9quipe Canada 1, form\u00e9e de Olivia Nguyen et Milana Sholkavich, s\u2019est class\u00e9e 8e. <\/p>\n\n

GRI junior<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

Le Canada \u00e9tait repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 dans les quatre finales par appareil par Taisia Costeva, Milana Sholkvich, Olivia Nguyen et Berna Ablikim. <\/p>\n\n

Hoop –<\/strong> Taisia Costeva placed 6th with a score of 21.500. <\/p>\n\n

Ball – <\/strong>Milana Sholkavich earned a strong 5th place finish with a score of 21.567. <\/p>\n\n

Clubs –<\/strong> Olivia Nguyen delivered a standout routine, earning silver with a 2nd place finish and a score of 23.300. <\/p>\n\n

Ribbon –<\/strong> Berna Ablikim rounded out the finals in 6th place, scoring 21.566. <\/p>\n\n

GRI senior<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

Le Canada a de nouveau \u00e9t\u00e9 repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 dans les quatre finales par appareil par Cindy He, Karin Kamenetsky, Angelina Lin et Erica Lee. <\/p>\n\n

Hoop –<\/strong> Cindy He delivered a solid performance, finishing 7th with a score of 22.233. <\/p>\n\n

Ball – <\/strong>Karin Kamenetsky secured a spot in the top 8, earning a score of 20.967. <\/p>\n\n

Clubs –<\/strong> Angelina Lin narrowly missed the podium, placing 4th with a score of 24.534, while Cindy He followed in 6th with 23.333. <\/p>\n\n

Ribbon – <\/strong>Angelina Lin claimed the bronze medal with a strong score of 24.533, and Erica Lee finished close behind in 5th with 24.267. <\/p>\n\n
