Canada’s Best Gymnasts Take Centre Stage at the 2026 Canadian Artistic Gymnastics Championships

Ottawa, ON (June 2, 2026) – Canada’s top artistic gymnasts took centre stage this past week at Durham College in Oshawa, Ontario, as the 2026 Canadian Artistic Gymnastics Championships showcased the country’s rising stars and establishedCanadian champions. Competing in front of enthusiastic crowds, athletes from coast to coast delivered impressive performances in both men’s and women’s artistic gymnastics, highlighting the depth of talent and the bright future of the sport in Canada.

The Floor Choreography Award recognizes gymnasts who stand out for their originality, artistry, and expressive performance on floor exercise. Selected by the judging panel, the 2026 recipients were Aurélie Tran (QC) in the Senior category and Nikita Théodat (QC) in the Junior category. 

The Artistry Award, presented by Cirque du Soleil, was awarded by Yvonne Tousek-Renne, Casting Advisor at Cirque du Soleil. This award recognizes an athlete who demonstrated exceptional artistry across all apparatus performances throughout the competition. The 2026 recipient was Alyssa Guerrier-Calixte (QC).
