Canadian Acrobatic Gymnastics Team Selected for the 2026 World Age Group Competition and World Championships

Ottawa, ON (September 3, 2026) – Gymnastics Canada is pleased to announce the athletes selected to represent Canada at the 2026 Acrobatic Gymnastics World Age Group Competition and World Championships, taking place this September in Pesaro, Italy. 

Canada’s acrobatic gymnasts will take the international stage over two weeks of competition, beginning with the World Age Group Competition from September 17–21, followed by the World Championships from September 24–27. 

World Age Group Competition 

Seven Canadian athletes will compete across the Youth Women’s Group and Youth Women’s Pair categories. 

Ella Fedoration, Judy Ghafari and Natalie Rup (ON) will represent Canada in the Youth Women’s Group competition, while Suah Choi and Nadia Chotza (ON), and Joelle Attard and Lauren Marttila (ON), will compete in the Youth Women’s Pair competition. 

The team will be supported by head coach Greg Boosey, integrated support team (IST) member Lindsay Fraser, and judge Debbie D’Souza. 

World Championships 

The following week, Avelyn Chu, Chloe Fiore and Katherine Sutherland (ON) will represent Canada in the Women’s Group competition at the 2026 Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships. This will mark a historic moment for Canadian acrobatic gymnastics, as the trio becomes the first Canadian senior women’s trio to compete at a World Championships. 

The trio will compete against the world’s top acrobatic gymnasts, led by head coach Scott Middleton, and judge Debbie D’Souza.
