Competition Recap – Team Canada Gymnasts Shined in Stuttgart

OTTAWA, ON (March 31, 2025) – Canada’s top artistic gymnasts delivered marvelous performances at EnBW DTB Pokal 2025 in Stuttgart, Germany from March 26th – 30th 2025 held at the Porsche-Arena.

Men’s Senior Team Challenge

The men’s team competed first day of competition in the Men’s Senior Team Challenge. Team members Chris Kaji, Jordan Carroll, Kai Iwaasa, Sam Zakutney, and William Emard finished 16th with a total score of 211.250.

Women’s Senior Team Challenge

The small but mighty women’s team competed on the second day of competition in the Women’s Senior Team Challenge.  Team members Rose Woo, Gabrielle Black, and Lia Redick took home the silver medal for Canada with a total score of 151.100.

Individually Gabrielle Black was the EnBW DTB Pokal Senior Women’s All-Around Champion and Lia Redick secured the Bronze medal in the All-Around. Due to the one athlete per country restriction, Gabrielle qualified for the floor and vault finals and Rose qualified for beam and uneven bars finals on the final day.

Mixed Team Cup

The team members Jayson Rampersad, Kai Iwaasa, Chris Kaji, Lia Redick, Rose Woo, and Gabrielle Black competed on the third day in the Mixed Team Cup. Team Canada continued to shine in Stuttgart securing the bronze medal with a combined total of 152.250.

Individual Apparatus Finals

Gabrielle Black and Rose Woo competed in the individual apparatus finals on the final day of competition on March 30th.

Gabrielle Black became the Vault Champion with a final score of 13.575 and added another bronze medal to her collection with a score of 12.900 on floor.

Rose Woo added a gold medal to her collection from her uneven bars win with a score of 13.150. Rose also finished 5th on beam with a score of 11.250.
