OTTAWA, ON (June 2, 2025) – The Calgary Olympic Oval hosted an exceptional week of gymnastics from May 25 to May 30, showcasing unforgettable performances across multiple disciplines. More than 950 athletes competed under one roof in Women’s Artistic Gymnastics, Men’s Artistic Gymnastics, Trampoline Gymnastics, and Acrobatic Gymnastics at all levels.
Highlights of Canadian Championships
Throughout the week of the championships, there were countless memorable moments. Fans of all ages had the opportunity to meet the Canadian Women’s and Men’s Artistic Gymnasts who will represent Canada at the Paris 2024 Olympics. In a proud celebration, Gymnastics Canada and Alberta Gymnastics honoured our Paris-bound team with a White Hat Ceremony — a beloved Calgary tradition that welcomes them as honorary members of the community.

For the first time ever, as part of the strategic partnership between GymCan and Cirque du Soleil, the Cirque du Soleil Artistic Performance Award was presented at the 2025 Canadian Championships. This inaugural honour was awarded by Yvonne Tousek-Renée to Senior athlete Félix Dolci, in recognition of his exceptional poise, elegance, and artistic expression throughout the championships.

A heartfelt thank you to our athletes, coaches, judges, volunteers, Alberta Gymnastics Federation, and sponsors for making this one of the most memorable championships to date.
