June 16, 2025 – Ottawa, ON – Team Canada delivered a series of outstanding performances at the 2025 Artistic Gymnastics Pan American Championships this past weekend in Panama City, earning multiple podium finishes and demonstrating exceptional talent and consistency across both the Women’s and Men’s competitions.
Women’s Artistic Gymnastics
Leading the charge for Canada was Lia Monica Fontaine, who captured an impressive five top-eight finishes, including gold on floor, silver on vault, and silver in the all-around competition. Fontaine also placed third on uneven bars and seventh on beam, reinforcing her status as one of the country’s most dynamic all-around gymnasts.
Teammates Gabrielle Black and Alyssa Guerrier-Calixte also delivered strong results, with Black finishing 4th on bars, 5th on vault, and 5th in the all-around, while Guerrier-Calixte secured 6th in the all-around.
On beam, Lia Redick claimed gold with a standout routine that topped the field, while Evandra Zlobec delivered a solid 5th place finish on floor.
Canada’s combined efforts earned the team a silver medal with a total score of 157.099, placing them second to the USA, with Argentina rounding out the podium in third.





Men’s Artistic Gymnastics
On the men’s side, Felix Dolci dominated the competition, securing three individual gold medals (high bar, parallel bars, and vault) and taking home gold in the all-around. He also placed 4th on rings and 8th on floor, contributing significantly to Canada’s overall success.
Evgeny Siminiuc added depth to Team Canada’s medal count with bronze finishes on high bar and parallel bars, while Rene Cournoyer placed 4th on floor and 7th on pommel horse, and Ioannis Chronopoulos impressed with a 5th place finish on rings and 7th in the all-around.
The Canadian men earned a team silver, finishing behind the USA and ahead of Brazil in a tightly contested final.
