Ottawa, ON (September 21, 2026) – Following the conclusion of the World Age Group Competition in Pesaro, Italy, Canada is turning its attention to the 2026 Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships, taking place September 24–27 at the Vitrifrigo Arena in Pesaro.
Avelyn Chu, Chloe Fiore and Katherine Sutherland (ON) will represent Canada in the Senior Women’s Group competition, making history as the first Canadian senior women’s trio to compete at an Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships.
The Canadian trio will begin qualifications on Thursday, September 24, with the Dynamic exercise at 6:00 p.m. local time (CEST), before returning to the competition floor on Friday, September 25, for the Balance exercise at 4:00 p.m. local time.
