Ottawa, ON (July 20, 2026) — Canada’s artistic gymnastics team is ready to begin competition at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland. Following the Opening Ceremony on July 23, ten Canadian gymnasts will take to the competition floor as they represent the Maple Leaf on one of the world’s premier multi-sport stages.
The 2026 Commonwealth Games will bring together athletes from 74 nations and territories, with Team Canada fielding a delegation of 149 athletes across 10 sports. The artistic gymnastics competition will take place from July 24 to 28 at the Glasgow International Arena, where athletes will compete for team, all-around and apparatus titles over five days of competition.
Canada heads into the Games with a balanced squad of experienced international gymnasts and rising talent making their Commonwealth Games debut, all aiming to build on the country’s proud history of success in artistic gymnastics.

Athletes to Watch
Canada’s team features a mix of veteran leaders and emerging talent. Félix Dolci enters the Commonwealth Games as one of Canada’s top men’s artistic gymnasts and a proven international contender. The Paris 2024 Olympian will be among the athletes to watch in both the team competition and individual events. On the women’s side, four-time Olympian Ellie Black brings invaluable experience and leadership as she returns to the Commonwealth stage for the third time, where she will once again be a strong medal contender. Joining her is Commonwealth Games newcomer Lia-Monica Fontaine, one of Canada’s rising stars, who will look to build on a series of impressive international performances in her debut appearance at the Games.
The artistic gymnastics competition will take place from July 24 to 28 at the Glasgow International Arena, with team competitions, all-around events, and apparatus finals scheduled throughout the five-day competition.
