Ottawa, ON (July 7, 2026) — Canada’s trampoline gymnastics team delivered an impressive performance at the Coimbra World Cup & GymFest in Coimbra, Portugal, returning home with seven medals and several standout results against international competition.
Competing from July 3 to 5, Canadian athletes showcased their strength across synchronized trampoline, individual trampoline, double-mini trampoline, and tumbling, earning three medals at the World Cup before adding four more podium finishes at the Coimbra GymFest.
Leading the way at the World Cup was Gavin Dodd, who captured silver in the men’s double-mini trampoline competition with a score of 29.300. Beyond the podium, Dodd delivered a historic performance by breaking his own Canadian difficulty record for both a single pass and the combined two-pass total in double-mini trampoline. His routine also included the successful landing of the world’s first triff to back full-full, marking a significant milestone for both the athlete and the sport.
Canada continued its success in double-mini trampoline as Brooklyn Lee McMeeken claimed bronze in the senior women’s event with a score of 26.400, while Sophiane Méthot and Sarah Milette teamed up to earn bronze in senior women’s synchronized trampoline with a score of 48.390.
The momentum carried into the Coimbra GymFest, where Canada’s next generation of athletes continued to impress. Arianna Sluga captured gold in the junior women’s 15–16 trampoline competition with a score of 51.280. Canada’s men’s 17–21 double-mini trampoline team also claimed gold with a combined score of 156.10. Brooklyn Olsen claimed bronze in the women’s 17+ double-mini trampoline event with a score of 24.000, while Brody Bishop also reached the podium, earning bronze in the men’s 17+ double-mini trampoline competition with a score of 26.600. Sara Moore rounded out Canada’s medal performances by earning bronze in the women’s 17+ tumbling competition with a score of 21.900.







The performances in Coimbra mark another strong international showing for Canada’s trampoline gymnastics program as athletes continue building momentum throughout the 2026 season.
