Canadian Juniors Capture Four Individual Medals at the 2025 Junior Pan American Games in Paraguay

Ottawa, ON (August 25, 2025) – Team Canada’s junior artistic gymnasts delivered a standout performance at the 2025 Junior Pan American Games in Asunción, Paraguay, bringing home four individual medals and multiple top-8 finishes against some of the continent’s strongest competitors.

On the women’s side, Coralie Demers claimed bronze in the vault final with a score of 12.933, joining the podium behind the USA (1st) and Brazil (2nd). Teammate Stella Letendre rounded out the vault final in 8th with a score of 11.899.

Letendre also shone on floor exercise, where she secured the silver medal with a score of 12.400, finishing just behind the USA in first. A tie for third was shared between Mexico and the USA. In other apparatus finals, Letendre placed 5th on uneven bars (11.800), while Maryam Saber finished 7th (11.466). On balance beam, Demers finished 6th with a score of 10.966.

On the men’s side, Thomas Tittley had a breakthrough performance, capturing gold on floor exercise with a score of 13.200, ahead of Chile (2nd) and Colombia (3rd). He went on to claim silver on high bar with a score of 12.833, finishing behind Colombia, with Brazil in 3rd. In the parallel bars final, Aiden Gonzalez placed 6th with a score of 12.133.

To close the Games on a high note, Tittley was given the honour of serving as Team Canada’s male flag bearer for the Closing Ceremony, as selected by the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC).

“These Pan American Games confirmed to me that every challenge is an opportunity to push my limits,” said Thomas Tittley. “Leading the delegation was an unforgettable moment. It was a unique opportunity to wear our colours and show the world our commitment.”
