Gymnastics Canada Celebrates Petro-Canada Coaching Excellence Award Winners

OTTAWA, ON (November 15, 2024) – Gymnastics Canada is proud to celebrate three exceptional coaches recognized with the prestigious Petro-Canada Coaching Excellence Awards.

Presented annually by the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) in partnership with Petro-Canada, these awards honor outstanding coaches who have guided their athletes to medal-winning performances at World Championships, major international events such as the Olympic and Paralympic Games, or the Special Olympics World Games. This year, 67 coaches across 27 sports are being celebrated for their contributions to Canadian sport excellence.

Gymnastics Canada proudly congratulates the following recipients:

  • Trish Quinney (Alberta) –  Recognized for coaching Team Canada to a bronze medal in the Double-Mini Trampoline Team Finals at the 2023 Trampoline World Championships.

  • Curt DeWolff (British Columbia) – Recognized for coaching Team Canada to a bronze medal in the Double-Mini Trampoline Team Finals at the 2023 Trampoline World Championships.

  • Karina Kosko (Quebec) – Recognized for coaching Sophiane Méthot to a bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
