Notable showing for Canada at the Luxembourg Open

Ottawa, ON (April 7, 2026) — The Luxembourg Open, held April 2–3 at Hall Sportif Belair and bringing together athletes from 23 countries, served as an international platform for Canadian gymnasts. 

Throughout the competition, Canadian athletes — both senior and junior — delivered great routines, resulting in four podium finishes. 

On the senior side, Jayson Rampersad led the way by winning gold on pommel horse with a score of 14.200. Teammate Chris Kaji also found success, earning silver on rings with a score of 13.450. 

Among the juniors, Thomas Tittley stood out with two podium finishes. He first claimed silver on floor (13.250), then added a second silver on vault (12.900), highlighting his potential at the international level. 

Canada’s senior team included Jayson Rampersad, Chris Kaji, Xavier Olasz and Evan Huber, while Thomas Tittley and Edouard Nadeau represented the country in the junior competition. 

Overall, the competition allowed Canadian gymnasts to come away with concrete results on the international stage while continuing to build momentum throughout the season.
